Day 1: Arrive in Bled
Arrive into Ljubljana with a transfer to Bled. Overnight stay in Bled.
Day 2: Bled
Wake up in the gorgeous village of Bled. Explore the town seeing Bled Castle, Church on the Island or perhaps take a pletna boat ride on the lake. Overnight at your hotel in Bled.
Day 3: Bled to Ljubljana
After breakfast, visit the most significant sights of the old city centre: the picturesque Central open-air Market and the Three Bridges that were both designed by famous architect Joze Plecnik, Baroque Town Hall and Robba’s Fountain. Overnight in Ljubljana.
Day 4: Ljubljana to Zagreb
Today after checking out of your hotel, take a transfer to Ljubljana railway station for your rail journey across the border. Welcome to Croatia! Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Zagreb.
Day 5: Zagreb
View the highlights of the Croatian capital on a private city sightseeing tour this morning. With a history dating back to 1094, there is much to see here. In the “Upper Town,” snap photos of the Cathedral of Mary’s Assumption and Gothic Church of St. Mark. Next, visit the “Lower Town,” featuring the main square of Jelacic. The balance of the day is at leisure to continue exploring on your own, shop, or relax in a café.
Day 6: Zagreb to Plitvice National Park
In the morning you will be transferred to the Plitvice Lakes National Park. In the afternoon you will have time to discover the park with its cascading lakes and waterfalls that are part of the UNESCO Heritage List. Have your camera ready and perhaps enjoy a guided tour seeing the amazing cascading lakes, a series of 16 interconnected turquoise lakes separated into upper and lower clusters formed from basins of limestone and dolomites. The lakes are renowned for their distinctive colours ranging from azure to green, grey or blue. The colours change constantly depending on the quantity of minerals or organisms in the water and the angle of the sunlight. Overnight in Plitvice.
Day 7: Plitvice to Split
In the afternoon you have a private car transfer to Split. Rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 8: Split
In the morning enjoy a private sightseeing tour of the city. Split is the biggest city in Dalmatia and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The rich cultural and monumental heritage of this 1,700-year old city is seen on a walking tour. View remnants of the city’s Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures, and its contemporary attractions. The tour will mainly focus on the 3rd century Diocletian’s Palace, which represents the heart of the inner city, and where all the most important historical buildings can be found. The remainder of the day is at leisure.
Day 9: Split to Dubrovnik
This morning, transfer to the Split bus station for your coach to Dubrovnik. Upon arrival, transfer to your Dubrovnik hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 10: Dubrovnik
Morning walking tour of this beautiful city, a UNESCO Cultural Heritage site. Surrounded by ramparts and fortresses, this ancient town is a treasure trove of architectural and cultural masterpieces, carefully preserved over the centuries. Take a pleasant walk tothe Rector’s Palace, the Franciscan Monastery with its 14th century Pharmacy, as well as to the other places of interest. The remainder of the day is at leisure.
Day 11: Depart Dubrovnik
Your trip will conclude with a transfer to Dubrovnik airport.
