The peak summer months of July and August attract the most visitors with blissfully hot days and ideal water temperatures for swimming. The shoulder months of May and September are a great time to visit with a pleasant climate and sunny skies, though fewer crowds.

Currency:
Croatian Kuna is the main currency accepted throughout Croatia.
You are still be able to pay in Euros for certain items such as accommodation, transportation and some restaurants.

Visas:
Current Australian passport holders do not need visas for stays less than 90 days.

Events & Festivals:
Each year Croatia offers a wealth of cultural events, carnivals and festivals.
Visit the Croatian National Tourist Board website for more details on events such as the famous, Rijeka Festival.

Food & Wine:
There’s an alternative way to discover a new country and the character of its people: through sampling the national cuisine! Discover the perfect recipe for a trip to Croatia, where you will experience the marvels of a cuisine characterised by Mediterranean flavours and the fruits of its olive trees and vineyards.

Activities:
Whether to fly higher than the clouds, dive into the deep sea or practice any activity you can imagine in between, Croatia is a true paradise for lovers of active tourism, nature and adrenaline.
Dive to discover the sunken wonders hidden in a coastline of unsurpassed beauty. Explore every corner of a wild nature on foot, horseback or bicycle. Free your energy in river canyons and karst landscapes going rafting and kayaking, glide through the air parachuting and paragliding and expand your horizons in the mountains of Biokovo or Vidova Gora.
