4 Day Ljubljana Experience
Day 1: Arrive Ljubljana
On arrival at Ljubljana airport or railway station you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day free to explore the city.
Day 2: Ljubljana
Join today’s guided walking tour beginning with a visit to the open air market, City Hall, Robba’s Fountain, the Three Bridges and the Parliament. This afternoon perhaps take an option for a Slovenian cooking course and learn some secrets of Slovenian cuisine.
Day 3: Bled
No visit to Slovenia would be complete without visiting Bled, the Pearl of the Slovene Alpine region with its emerald green lake, island church and medieval castle on a cliff overlooking the lake. Our tour includes transport, expert English speaking guide and entrance to Bled Castle.
Day 4: Ljubljana
Your stay ends with a transfer to Ljubljana airport or train station.

The Alpine Lakes excursion includes a tour of the town of Bled, a visit to Bled Castle and a traditional “pletna” boat ride to Bled Island. At the Bohinj lake resort, famous for its unspoiled nature, you will visit the 14th century Church of St. John and the Savica Waterfall which is the source of the Sava Bohinjka river. Includes transfers, guidance, admission to Bled Castle and the Savica waterfall.
Bled (an Alpine Pearl) (Wednesday & Friday, 12.30pm to 6pm)
Often described as the ‘Image of Paradise’, the Alpine resort town of Bled will enchant you with its emerald-green lake and fairytale-like island. Visit the imposing castle reigning on top of a rocky cli and to take the small boat named “pletna” to visit the small island in the middle of the lake. Postojna Cave & Predjama Castle (Tues, Thurs & Sun, 8.30am to 4pm)
The Postojna Caves and the mysterious castle of Predjama rank among the most precious jewels of Slovenia. We will explore the wonderful underground world of Postojna Cave and excite our imagination with the striking medieval Predjama castle. Maribor & Ptuj (Thursday, 8am to 5pm)
The north-east of Slovenia is a blend of fascinating nature, inspiring traditions and vibrant history. Visit Slovenia’s oldest town Ptuj with its magni cent castle, and explore the inviting city of Maribor. You will have the chance to taste some excellent wines from the sunny vineyards of the Štajerska region. Includes transfers, guidance, entrance to Ptuj Castle and wine tasting in Maribor.
Lipica & Piran (Slovenian Coast) (Tuesday & Friday, 9am to 5pm)
See Lipica Stud Farm, the cradle of the Lipizzaners, the noble white horses. We will drive to Slovenia’s coast with its inviting towns, rich history and clear sea. Visit the pretty shing town of Izola, discover the beauties of the medieval town of Piran and the sunny Portorož. Optional visit to the salt pans of Sečovlje.
